Children use continent stencils to trace the shapes of the seven continents onto paper or fabric. We use them to make maps, sewing projects and for push pin work They can colour, label, and compare their creations while becoming familiar with the shapes and locations of each continent. This hands-on activity develops geographical awareness, fine motor skills, pencil control, and concentration.

Similar to the one I have in my classroom, children can strum or learn to play small pieces of music by picking the strings on the zither.

A fun and hands-on way to practice practical life skills. I use a wipe off marker to draw on the teeth and a small dish of soap for the children to wash the marker off with. Definitely a hit in our classroom!

A great addition to our geography area. I ended up painting each continent to match the Montessori continent colour coding.

This book is near and dear to my heart as it was inspired by the children in our classroom by our wonderful yoga instructor. A fun way to incorporate gross motor skills, mindfulness and cooperation.
